  1. (Just wanted to be sure that "Anything written on the blog will give you 10%, easily" still counted right? To be totally honest, this is not written to excite anyone in this era, therefore it's a little hard to read: maybe the way it's written, and its unexcitingness.)

    1. I think to the laity because they need to follow the reformation set by God, because the pope doesn't follow it.

    2. Luther wanted to pressure the laity in reconsidering the power of the Church. He wanted them to ask why the only the Pope interprets the scripture, and not the priests.

    3. First Wall: Luther pointed out that the Church and state are no different. The Church persecuted others, but who has the power to define the spiritual laws/realm?

Second Wall: Luther pointed out that others should be able to interpret Scripture (not the Gospel like the Church felt weren't necessary).

Third Wall: Luther questioned the Pope's authority to call councils. Why was he the only one that could? Others should have the right to bring of faith related topics, right? That's what Luther wanted to make known.

    4. The people are to obey the government and not treat the Pope as God. Help the Pope out, but don't uphold him to God's place in humanity.

  2. I'm not really sure who he is talking to. But he is talking about how they need to follow God. He wanted to get them thinking about God and start to question the Pope. His future for them is to follow God but still respect the Pope.

  3. 1. Martin Luther is speaking o the Laity and the people in these high positions in the church.

2.Luther wanted the Catholic church to give up their power ,and have everyone be their own person.

    3. Wall 1.Luther is stating that spiritual power is not better than temporal power, and they should be separate.
Wall 2.In this walls he says anyone should have the right to interpret scripture, not just the pope.
Wall 3.In this he is saying that anyone can call a religious meeting inside their own homes, and he is ordering the papacy to give the power back to temporal.

4.Luther is trying to get the people to think more and do more for themselves instead of doing things because the pope said to do them.

  4. His talking to the people and his wanting them to follow God.
He was questioning the pope and gave everyone a reason to think about God.
Spiritual over temporal states that theres no difference. They took to much control and were exciting and banishing the reasons of faith.
That everyone has the right to call a council.

  5. I would say, just like everyone else said it, that Martin Luther was trying to get the attention of the the leader and rulers of the church. Martin Luther wanted everyone to be able to believe what they wanted to believe. He wanted them to chose their own religion, and not just feel confined to believe what everyone else thinks. In the first wall he was saying that spirtual and temporal power need to be split, because they don't go by the same stuff. The second wall is simply that he thinks everyone needs to have their own right to tell about scripture and interpret it in their own way; not just the pope. The final wall he wants wants people to have their own beliefs. Much like the 2 wall. He is basically saying through out the whole article that he wants people to have their opinion looked about during councils.
