  1. I am a Christian, and ergo, I believe that God is needed in every instance and occasion in order for them to run properly. Spiritually and naturally I believe God is needed.

  2. God is for sure needed in our world. We can't even breath without God. I don't think he realizes that. This man is stupid. Athiests are just people who have had some bad experiences in life, so they take it out on God. They just need to look up and see that things can be fixed. Yes, he has cancer, but that doesn't mean that he has to disregard God because of it.

  3. This world needs God. If it wasn't for God we wouldn't even be here today. We are living in the end times , and the last thing we need is to push God away.

    @Jourdan,

    It's not that they blame everything on God, it's just the fact that so much has happened to them that they start to lose their faith in Him.

  4. Civilization needs God. Its really sad that a lot of people dont realize that. If not ask the chilean miners. Not all of them were chritians but they all said that they survived thanks to God. Its true that God doesnt always do what you ask for, that is because our plans are different from God's plans, but I am sure about one thing, and that is that God's plans are always the best.

  5. umm this whole arguement confused me but i don't know if anyone heard this but guess what one of the things they sent to them that was said to be essential for life today, a Bible...and that is all i have to say.

  6. @EVERYONE,

    Only the guy with cancer was an atheist. The second person was a practicing Christian.

  7. It was probably easier for the atheist to be as he is, because of his life with his parents before he was independant. If you didn't know, his mom committed suicide and his father probably pushed that. He was the one who had to go pick up her remains.

    For the Christian, the only thing I can think of is that he was the youngest, so it's possible that his Christian family babied him, giving him the attention that he wanted. I feel that the only think that could bring any of the two to the beliefs they had are their backgrounds.

  9. It is interesting that two brothers would have such different views. Of course, if they didn't grow up together or go through similar experiences, the fact that they're brothers wouldn't really be important.

    I was a little confused on what all they were saying, but it seemed like a big part of it was that Christopher [ironic name for an atheist] was saying that society was becoming less spiritual and more powerful, while Peter believed that society was ruining itself by losing it's focus and reliance on God.

    I can understand why having a disease such as cancer would lead someone away from God. That's a really difficult thing to go through, and it could only take someone away or bring someone closer to Him. Obviously this man has chosen to reject God.
    People with cancer doesn't really mean that our civilization is failing though, in my opinion.

  10. People know that we can not live without God in this world, wether they admit it to themselves or not that is their business. But look at what happens after every major catastrophy, everyone turns back to God t first. Churches were full rite after Sept. 11.
