WE HAVE A REAL FILLIBUSTER!  YAAAAAY!  Why was Paul doing this?  What was Rand Paul hoping to accomplish?  What techniques did he use?  Do you agree with him?

  1. Rand Paul was doing this to call out the Obama Administration. He wanted a clear answer on whether or not an american citizen can be targeted by an active drone on american grounds.

  2. They were voting on who should become the new CIA director and Rand Paul was hoping to make it someone else. He didn't want them to vote on who would be it, so he kept on talking. He eventually brought up drones. They were reading tweets, Shakespeare, and everything else. I find these kind of comical and interesting. It's weird to think that someone could just stand up there and do that. As for agreeing with him, I'm not really sure how I feel about that.

  3. obama needs to get out. with all the civilian casualties due to drones in the middle east, why would you risk the lives of citizens in your own country, the homeland? he will with out a doubt be removed if any such action is taken. i'm already infuriated by the fact that there are drones active above home soil.

  4. Rand Paul was trying to block the new leader of the CIA because he felt that drones would be implemented even more into our government. I feel like he has the right to do this, whether I agree with it or not. Is it worth going through the trouble of a fillibuster even when he won the position of CIA?

  5. Paul caused filibuster because he didnt fully understand why obama wanted to put drones on american land,a nd he wanted to attack the new CIA leader. Rand i feel is probably not understanding the whole situation, and wants to get what the obama administration is really trying to do.

  6. Rand paul wast not for the new CIA director. He thought that maybe talking for over 13 hours would change that. He doesn't want the changes that would possibly affect our country. He's probably just real concerned about this, and wants to talk about it & hopefully change the opinions of some people.
